They now live together with Michael's three children and his maid Ellen (Julie Walters) in Cherry Tree Lane. After the young man suffers a dramatic personal loss, the magical nanny Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt) will re-enter the lives of the Banks family, along with the optimistic lamplighter Jack (Lin-Manuel Miranda). In order to help the family rediscover the joy and fantasy missing from their lives, Mary Poppins will use her unique magical abilities to take them to a colorful new world full of quirky characters like her eccentric cousin Topsy (Meryl Streep).
