Set in a dystopian Los Angeles in the year 2019 - and with the world economy collapsed - television is controlled by the state that broadcasts a sadistic game show called 'Persecuted', becoming the most popular program in history, in which convicted criminals have a chance to get your freedom. To do this they must run and flee from an army of heavily armed assassins known as “Hunters”. When former police officer Ben Richards (Schwarzenegger) is wrongly convicted of a crime he did not commit, he will be included in the contest along with other dangerous participating prisoners.
