Description
Star Trek: The Next Generation is a 176-episode television series (1987-1994) also known as "Star Trek: The Next Generation." The story takes place in the 24th century, a century after the original series. It chronicles the adventures of the crew of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701), a galaxy-type ship designed for exploration, diplomacy and, when necessary, battle. Its captain is the intellectual and charismatic Jean-Luc Picard. As in the original series, the crew meets new technologically very advanced races, with which they tend to resolve conflicts peacefully. Sometimes, the need to follow superior orders causes disputes between the protagonists. Many episodes are based on time travel, personal affairs of the protagonists, interstellar natural disasters.
